The new 2021 C12 Performance Boats dedicated to building International Canoes to a world beating standard.
C12 Performance Boats are the developers of the Morrison2 and 3 designs working closely with Phil Morrison and with IC sailors. Steve and Rob are active IC sailors and started C12 with the aim to develop the International Canoe development rules defined in 2009. We wanted a British design, to maintaining the traditional look of the canoe stern and utilise the very best materials and techniques to produce a stunning looking boat which goes fast.
Another critical aim was to allow anyone to buy an IC and start sailing immediately without needing any boat building experience and with readily available interchangeable spares to keep the boats on the water. In a high performance boats things do break so the key items of equipment which traditional may have been largely bespoke in the canoe fleet have been standardised.

The M2 was where we started and this was effectively a conversion from the Nethercott OD to new rules by reducing dimensions and weight. This boat is a fast design and has won many championships including German and British National and European Championships and the current World Champion.
The M3 was a development of the M2 after experience sailing in the Internationsl fleet in the choppy waters of San Francisco Bay. The M3 has a much lower CoG and has its maximum beam as far back as possible. With a lowered freeboard and wave piercing bow its perfomance in waves has improved performance considerably.
